Name a movie. Don't review it. Tell us what you liked about it, and what you didn't. What "worked"? What didn't?

Movies. Are they getting better, or are they getting worse?

How do you feel about highly touted movies that flop?

I feel sorry for producers, production companies, the studios, and investors who put in much time, money, and tremendous efforts into highly touted movies that flop. They are going to be very wary about trying to make or invest in movies that are in any way similar, or which will be released in the similar time of following years as a flop. There are many people who work on movies who need for the movies they work on to be successful, in the hopes of securing more work. I feel sorry for them as well. One of the ways to prevent flops, and to help those who make movies know exactly what you want to experience in movies, is to join BetterFlicks.com! Let's help the movie industry, OK?!?

I don't think movies are memorable (or as memorable) anymore. What do you think?

One of the (many) problems I have with modern movies is that I think they are not memorable as past films. Another way of saying this is: You forget about them after 10 minutes. There always have been movies with great emotional impacts. I'm not referring to those types of movies, but virtually all others have this plight. I often confuse what I've seen in one movie with another. The titles of movies get either confused, or completely lost in my mind. These days, not only are a lot of movies similar to one another, they way action is presented to us visually - Wow! moments - are too similar to what we've already seen. We are therefore, unimpressed - and forget movies quickly. What do you think?

There's no diversity in movies!!

I write this the week following a statement by Natalie Portman that "Hollywood" is all about 'white males'. I applaud her, and everyone else who has brought up this topic. Women are rarely leads in movies. Neither are people of color, or anyone else that isn't white. Why is every character - except for that one friend - white and straight? It's often been said if the leads in a movie happen to be black - the movie will be looked at as a "movie for black audiences". Not true. One doesn't write for color unless a character has to be _______ (whatever). What do you think?

Movies you didn't "get".

What movies - some may have been highly touted, perhaps winners of many awards - did you just not understand? I refer to plots and premises - ones that left you saying, "Hunh? I don't get it!" Tell us.

Underrated movies

If I were to ask you: Which movies do you think are overrated? We'd probably start a war of some kind. So... let's try something different: Tell us about movies you felt were underrated. Why do you feel this way?
